Portsea market
lovely day in great setting, and first drive on the new peninsula link road made it even better, it only took me just over an hour to get all the way down there from northcote! After the market I went into Sorrento and had a late lunch , then I went down to the back beach ( which is one of my very favourite places ) had a swim in the rock pools, read my book and then feel asleep on the sand. Don't quite know how long I was asleep for , but when I woke up most of the other beachgoers where gone- LOL anyway after an early start to do the market I needed the nap before riving home. Great day, if they decide to do more markets at Portsea next summer I will blog and Facebook about it as I would recommend it as a great day out, market in the morning then beach afternoon.Cowboy Shirt order
I haven't made any of these for ages , but I really should make some more. This one was for an order from someone who had bought one of the cowboy shirts before. She said she loves them as they are something different for her little man to wear, we all get so sick and tired or the limited and boring options for boys to wear! We went for green , which was something a little different that I hadn't done before and it came out just great.
Got to love living in Northcote
I feel like I live in a little village but I am in the inner city too. i feel very lucky to live in such a nice part of melbourne. And the food - they are homemade coconut crumpets from the red door corner store - yum.
Mustard Love
another shade of yellow, but loving this too!
I am calling this the "holly hobby" dress, and all of you that grew up in the 70's like me collecting swap cards will know what I am talking about. I imagine this dress being worn by a little girl , with messy hair , out in a field collecting flowers in a basket.
Sewing
Pretty much what I spent the whole summer doing, this was my view.
Twirly skirts
So many little girls love to twirl and make those skirts fly. This design is very circular and full so it really flies up. It has panels of lots of print fabrics and denim, so it co-ordinated with lots of things and I think is best just with a plain top ( cheap from kmart or target even ) It has a drawstring and elastic waist , so it can be adjusted to fit and will then grow with your child as you can let out the waist and the skirt just gets shorter. I would recommend getting a size that starts as a mid calf length then over time it turns into a short skirt. Too cute
Night jar Market Torquay
Even bigger this year, again i would recommend this as a great little day out from melbourne ( and is obviously fantastic for those of you hoildaying down the coast and locals ) Beach day then dinner , music and shopping at the market in the evening. Lots of great dinner options, even healthy and delicious ones like this vegan israeli coscous salad with pomegranate and tahini dressing - yum
Chevron dresses
The big hit for summer - and they are just so happy and summer-y.
Perfect "pop on" dress. I put a gorgeous photo of customer Lylah in her yellow chevron dress up on the website, but she has the navy one too and it looks just as beautiful.
Merry Christmas people !
